Becky Broadbent

Becky Broadbent joined the University as General Counsel in 2020 and reports to the President of the University. She is responsible for managing the University’s legal affairs and providing guidance to the President, President’s Cabinet, the Board of Trustees, University Council, and all University departments and colleges on the full spectrum of legal issues facing a public university. She previously served as Associate General Counsel at Boise State University from 2016-2019, and prior to that was in private civil law practice in Boise for 25 years after commencing legal practice in Salt Lake City. Becky is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), the Utah State Bar and the Idaho State Bar. She graduated from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School and Boise State University (B.A. Political Science), and is licensed to practice law in Utah and Idaho.
